Taija New follows up with a performance at The Hartford Pride Festival and shut shit down in front of Hartford City Hall. Her next show is 9/13/15 in CT in front of Atlantic Records.
Taija New is a fly Lyricist/ MC/ Rapper from Springfield, Massachusetts’. If you would like to call her a femcee that's fine but just know that when she writes her intent is to compete with her male counterparts as well.
Taija New fell in love with R&B music at a very young age as she listened to everything from the Commodores to TLC in her household. During the 90’s, by the time she was of age to truly understand the power of music; HipHop was being infused into R&B. She found solace in the mixture of these genres and the juxtaposition of their sound. Taija New is influenced by female MC's like Lil Kim and Foxy Brown who would hop on a verse and give R&B music a unique edge. These influences can be heard in her music, She asks that you just listen.
